About Us
Four of a Kind Ranch & Cattle Co.
The Lannan Family
Kelly, Shane, Pam, Pat, Tanner, Cara, Josh and Shyloh
The Four of a Kind Ranch & Cattle Co., named for our four sons, is a family-owned Registered Black Angus cattle and hay operation based in Arizona. With four sons to raise, we decided to build a ranch. This came easily to Pat as a second-generation rancher and son of a veterinarian in Nebraska
We started slowly by helping our neighbor and grew to own our US Forest Service leases and private lands. We started with commercial Black Angus cattle and then converted our herd to Registered Black Angus. Once we had the cow/calf portion of the herd progressing, we recently expanded into AAA bull breeding. The hay segment of our operation is a must-have for a Nebraska-raised rancher/farmer.
All our sons are grown now but continue to help with the ranching as their time allows.
Our Mission
Local, Sustainable & Natural
It is our goal to provide our discerning clients with high-quality Black Angus beef, AAA bulls, AAA replacement heifers, and various types of hay. We embrace and respect the western lifestyle with our family, employees, and friends.
Why Registered Black Angus
We prefer the scientific aspect of having the genetic background of each animal as this allows us to track our animals positive and negative traits, and continually improve our herd on multiple levels – health, reproduction and meat quality.
Local
Four of a Kind Ranch & Cattle Co. utilizes different climates provided by the various elevations of Arizona to offer natural grasses to our cattle and grow nutritious hay year-round.
Sustainable
As ranchers we are conscientious stewards of the land, water and animals that inhabit the desert, forest, and farmland. We are dedicated to producing cattle using strategies that are best for the animal and planet. Cattle are one of the few protein sources that can graze on land that is considered un-useable to make that land sustainable.
Natural
We employ current science and technology to improve our genetics for herd health, adaptability, and meat enhancement. Our cattle are raised naturally with no added hormones or growth additives and are free of antibiotics for 120 days prior to butchering. We meet natural standards for USDA processing.
